Ciao Marcuz e all.
As far as I have been able to gather, there are two dates in Italy. At the international Marranzano festival in Catania, Sicily
http://www.marranzanoworldfestival.it/
dal 5 al 8 november
and then at the University of Udine, in the department of foreign languages from the 9th to the 12th. I have not been able to obtain any details about the actual activities or if there will be any at the University of Udine. I live very close by and would really like to be able to help or participate .... If I find out more I will post it here.

Reading the local newspaper I have discovered the following, for who is near Udine or would like to come to see Djalu in Italy in Novembre.

11 novembre 2009 ore 20.30
Culture virtuose a confronto: l'uomo orchestra e l'uomo natura
Djalu Gurruwiwi (didgeridoo) Mauro Colombis (pianoforte)
Teatro Palamostre

Cheers, Martin

Are the dates for the festival (5th to the 8th) concrete?
I'm just finding it a little strange that all this info is coming from newspapers etc????
Any news on who is Stefano?

Thanks,
Zed.

Just received one of those 'we miss you on the forum' emails, so here I am responding to my own mail that went unanswered back in September...
Well, whoever makes it to Italy, please give us a review.
Miss you too Zed,

Zed.

Finally I have some more concrete information about Djalu in Udine.
There is a conference called id-entities at the University of Udine from the 9th to the 11th of November.
Djalu will be playing at the opening ceremony on Monday morning and will be giving a concert on
the evening of wednesday the 11th at 20:30.
The keynote speaker is Dhanggal Gurruwiwi who will talk on Monday morning at 10:30 on How Yolngu people relate to the land.
The information is on the poster that i have posted here.
It sounds quite interesting but it is a shame that it was not announced earlier as it is now quite difficult to organise myself at work to attend the various events.
I will certainly go to the concert on the 11th.
cheers, Martin
