Find out what’s ‘app’ downunder as Australia’s Northern Territory launches iApp
iPhone and iTouch owners can now learn more about Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) through a new application – OutbackNT - which is free to download.

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/outbackn ... 12860?mt=8

OutbackNT gives users the latest information to help you decide what to do when visiting Australia’s real outback. With interactive maps, information and images you can plan itineraries, choose where to eat, browse up and coming events and tag attractions which you want to visit.

Best of all, once downloaded, you can use the app even when you aren’t connected to the web, so in remote areas you will still be able to locate the new viewing platform or find information of a local guides or tour packages.

“This innovative new app allows visitors to get the very best from their trip to the Northern Territory. Using one comprehensive source at your convenience on your mobile, explore the vibrant tropical city of Darwin, World-Heritage listed national parks like Kakadu and famous outback towns like Alice Springs and plan itineraries on the hop” said George Christakis, Sales & Marketing Manager, Tourism NT - UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Nordic.

You can get into the Indigenous vibe of the NT before you leave or recreate your outback experience on your return with the didgeridoo feature which allows you to play your very own ‘didge’ by blowing into the phones voice piece! Tap along with touch drums on screen and alter the tempo and pitch by tilting the phone. So even if you aren’t planning a visit anytime soon – you can still be inspired by the NT.

The app includes information on the six key regions which make up the Territory including Darwin, Katherine and Uluru. So whether you are looking to canoe through ancient gorges, ride a camel on the iconic red sands to the backdrop of Uluru or browse Darwin’s Mindil Beach Sunset Markets – download the OutbackNT app now to start researching your trip.

The App was developed by Radio Lynx Content (www.radiolynxcontent.com).

Amazing, an app that bypasses all the culture and all the first people in just a few tilts and presses!
