Whether you call it Australia Day, Invasion Day, Survival Day, or Share the Spirit Day, January 26th remains a special day for all Australians. Here in Melbourne there will be a variety of events and festivals marking the day, and there will likewise be events celebrating this day throughout Australia whether in the big city or in a rural area. Get in touch with your local community council for planned events.

Overseas folk might want to check with their Australian Embassy/High Commission to see what they have planned. Or do a locality google search like "australia day new york"...
