"Blue Barry", so named because he never wore anything else except for a blue polo shirt, blue being the colour of his Garawirrtja clan's flag Djarritjarri, passed away last Friday. He had been on dialysis for years and had been on a waiting list for a kidney transplant for the same amount of time, but it was apparently pneumonia that claimed this young man's life. Those who knew Barry will remember his good humour, his peaceful disposition, and his wide network of friends both Yolngu and Balanda. RIP gotjuki.
