G'day all , Just to let everyone know the old man that everyone knew as Billy, passed away last year in October!!
as a sign of respect i will asked people not to use his last name whilst referring to him. I was fortunate enough to have
spent time with him on his outstation in Central Arnhem Land "Yamini" This old man was not some type of "New age hippy"
as many say. He was a traditional man who knew that he need to bring the old knowledge from the bush to the world.
The people who were also fortunate enough to meet him would agree he was amazing. He has been laid to rest on his
country with his father and family. In regards to one person "David Howell" i would advise people to be careful what he tells
you as previously stated he is in a bit of Hot water with these Elders the custodians of the Yidaki this old man died still
in pusuit of his paintings , didj's and motorcars from this fella. Ihave seen with my own eyes this and that old man was
used for his generous nature. Just be warned!!!! Dont mess with Traditional Lore!!!!
If you are in Darwin go to Mindel Beach markets and look for Rhonda Campion she is his full niece , she will tell
you about this beautiful old man.....
Bo Bo Uncle!!!!!

Yeah I'm from W.A mate.
I heard of the news about Uncle when i returned
from India last year. I was one of the fellas Marcos
was talking about living in Byron Bay. Uncle took me through his Lore when i was up there and cut me. If i could ask you a favor to keep an eye out for anyone selling his works esp. recent stuff. david Howell had stole alot of his works and i'm concerned
that he will try to cash in on it. If you do please get in touch with his neice in Darwin. My skin by Uncle is Bolung. Yirritja.

Waz!

hey man, good to hear you, shame it's under these circumstances...

Last august I heard old Billy was quite sick in hospital, lung cancer or heart disease, can't remember, and actually a friend of mine took him out of hospital to take him some outstation near Maningrida... don't know if that was just a weekend trip after which he went back to hospital, or if he stayed there... anyhow, spoke with Kerry and he asked me to give him a hug from him and Che, but never could coz i finally couldn't join that trip, and after that i lost track... u spoke with them?
r.i.p

no news from David... no clue where he is... actually never had it since that year... 4 or 5 years ago! gossip said he was around Alice...

take care bras!
