Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I've had this simmering interest in the didge for many years (since I was a kid, actually). My dad even bought me a cheap Balinese bamboo didge for my birthday once, but the backpressure was so weak, it was essentially impossible as a beginner to get that long drone achieved by circular breathing.

My didgeridesire was reawakened recently, and I decided to go out and find myself a really nice instrument and start learning in earnest. That quest led me to finding online communities such as ididj.

I'm a pianist by training, and I've been playing modern synth keyboards for a few years. I also took up Native American flute a couple of years ago. Oddly, these instruments as well as the didge have all come into my life in relatively similar ways.

Anyway, happy to be here. Pardon me the occasional gaff as I stumble through the learning process.

Best regards,
Alec

Hi Alec, welcome to the board. I'm Mrs. Lindo, and I'm not a didg player, but I love the sound. I also love the Native American flute sound, and I have a CD by Chief Red Hawk from the Cherokee Nation. I'm kind of new here too, and I'm just fascinated by native Australian culture, and African american culture. Take care.
