I seem to have a bit of a problem down the bore of one of my Yidaki, there seems to be a build up and a lot of what appears to be mould or something similar, its crackedand flakey like mould and its white. Hasanybody ever experienced anything like this...... is it dangerous for either my self or the instrument ....... and how do I combat it to get ridand do I need to.
Any sugestions would be greatly recived

Mould won't appear like that - mould is greyish, bluish or whitish and fluffy. It doesn't crack away or become flaky. It sounds like it's some kind of accumulated residue from your playing - maybe form something that's been put down the bore previously.
I'd just drop a string through the stick - tie on an old bit of rag and drag it back and forth to remove the excess. You could mositen it a little if it's difficult to shift.
I'm sure it won't kill ya.

Very old message, but I reply anyway..., I had the same problem. This problem mostly occurs when you put a didge in a closed bag or something after playing.
It is probably mold, and tea tree oil is good against it. Before you put the oil in it, brush it out with water and a bottle brush stuck with tape on a long bamboo stick! It works for me...
To prevent it, brush your teeth before playing, and don't eat or drink anything else than water whilst playing, this will minimize enzymes and "residues" getting into your didge, serving as nurture for mold...
cheers, ray
