Is there a preferred way to store a didgeridoo when you're not playing it? I usually just lean them up against my book shelf; but the other day the dog knocked them all down and I had to re-do the wax on two of them.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Hi Mark

I would store them upright as you are doing whether just resting against a wall (as are mine) or on a stand, away from heating/ sun etc and if possible in an unheated room. This is extra important if you have been playing them and they are damp. Make sure that air can flow freely through them especially if standing on carpet otherwise they might get mould on the inside. Some like to display their instruments on a horizontal wall rack which is fine as long as they are thoroughly dry to ensure moisture does not pool in the crevices in the bore which could cause cracks to develop.
