I believe once you are infected with a didgeridoo (Yidaki Mago) virus your hooked for life. Hooked in surge for that magical sound never ever leaving your mind. So after several years of surging for that magical stick to mimic the field recordings (my favoured). I finally got such an instrument that will lead me deeper and deeper in to that sound "Dopiya 1". Yes it matters if a stick is capable off doing so. I,m such a lucky bastert in having mead wonderfull people who were willing to share there passion with me.
First I want to thank Sven Molder for introducing me to North East Arnhemland style playing and his exquested collection off instruments. He was always kind enough to let me play fast aray off instruments and sharing his stories and knowledge with me. This is how I learned about all the specific sound properties needed to emulate what I can not describe in words. I lief that to an other big man with a big hart, Guan Lim. He's is a poet in describing the marvels he's putting on the internet for us to buy, play and nurture and helping out the families in Arnhemland. And for the ones who are a bit reluctant to buy from Internet, believe me don't hold back even if you can't play them your self's. All instruments I bought from iDIDJ are top notch!
Gaun thanks.
Dopiya 1 Queen off acoustics. She's really DOPE. Words are coming short to describe her in terms of sound properties. But Dopiya1 is coming close to Bayawara Power! Unbelievable, I haven't played any thing like this ever. And are very privileged to play this instrument till there is no music left in here.
Thanks, thanks and again thanks.
Ciao,
Peter
